George Tribble was a BROTHER of the Mary Tribble who married Abraham Brown. They were both children of Peter Tribble. Mary Tribble's nephew Shadrack Tribble (son of George) married an Elizabeth Coleman (from the same Robert Coleman "I"/Elizabeth Grizzell and Robert Coleman "II" and Ann Spilsby/Spilsbe family into which the Brown family also married)

Edward B. Brown in Essex Co., VA was a member of another/unrelated Brown family. That was the family that "traces back" to an early Charles Brown, and that family included men named Berriman/Berryman Brown and Meredith Brown. A recent DNA test on a descendant of Berryman Brown (DNA "Group 49") has shown that this family was NOT related to the family of Francis Brown "I" (died 1691/1692; DNA "Group 10").

In addition to the above, there appears to have been several other unrelated Brown families in Essex Co., VA area, including Buckingham Brown, Boikenhead Brown and the William Brown whose second wife was Elizabeth Allen (daughter of Valentine Allen and Mary Page). There was also another William Brown who died in Essex and who was married to Alice Eaton....and he APPEARS to have been unrelated to all of the above (albeit no proof at this time).

DNA testing has also shown that Culpeper Co., VA had at least four unrelated families (DNA Groups 10, 33, 47 and 55). DNA testing is the only hope to fully "segregate" and understand these many Brown famliles in VA.

By the way, we are currently waiting for the DNA results for a living male Brown DNA donor who descends from the John Brown who married Lucy Doggett. We should have those results within the next week or two.
