Actually, the following entries:
Hightower, E. 1842 wb-5-193 (Gr)
Hightower, Epaph. 1852 wb-3-33 (Gr)
Hightower, Epaphroditus 1849 33-3-112 (Gr)
all belong to the estate of Epaphroditis Hightower, Sr.His Will was proved in February 1832.It was not finally settled until 1858, ten (10) years after his wife, Eleanor, died because in his Will he stated:
"An All my stock of horses Cattle hoggs and sheep &c to remain on the plantation for use of my Beloved wife her natural life time and then after her death with all the property that I leave with her except the land heretofore named to be equally divided between my lawful heirs"
By the time Eleanor died his heirs were scattered. The estate went through several executors before the final settlement.
A transcription of his Will is located on my website at http://www.mwis.net/~powder/gen.htmhttp://www.mwis.net/~powder/gen.htm.
