Bernardina (nee Hilderbran) Schwarz was born on July 9, 1848
in Philadelphia, PA and was called Dena. Her husband's name was Charles Schwarz. They lived at 2557 N. Orianna Street in Philadelphia, PA. They had at least five children: Ann, Harry, Charles, Bernadine (Tillie) and Mary
(Mame). She died on Thursday, November 16, 1893 of valvular disease of the heart. She was 45 years old when she died and her occupation was listed as a housekeeper. A death notice from the Philadelphia newspapers indicated her
family and friends were respectfully invited to her funeral on Sunday the 19th, in 1893 from her late residence at 311 Vine Street. She was buried at the Glenwood Cemetery following her funeral. On February 18, 1922, she was re-buried at the West Laurel Hill Cemetery at 215 Belmont Ave. in Bala Cynwyd, PA in Lot # 94, River Section, grave #7. Her death certificate from the City of Philadelphia Archives stated her physician was Albert P. Keller, M.D. whose address was 136 Race Street and her undertaker was Charles Horsch whose address was 1128 North 3rd. Street.

Any information about her mother and father and other family would be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully submitted Michael C.McDonough, Ed.D. her great grandson
