Hi everyone-
My name is Michael Richard Hillegas born 11\21\1980, son of Richard Michael Hillegas (Aug 17th 1939 - Sept 4th 2002) I was told by my father I was a direct desedant of this guy below on the $10 gold certificate

I've recently became interested in tracing my family tree, I've never met anyone from my family and I'm curious as to how many generations I can look back.
I haven't read any of this forum but I will after posting this.
