I don't know of that spelling, however Christian Hillegas at the Baptisim of his daughter Catharina 1 Apr 1777 had his name misspelled as Hillincas. I have over 30 variation's from my line from Columbia County, NY., to Albany County, NY., then most of them moved West somewhere, as they vanished from the Berne, Albany County, NY area about 1820 - 1840. My name Hillicoss is just another example of lack of spelling ability on somebodies part, either the family members or people keeping the records.
