Josiah Minter Hillhouse and John Hillhouse

I was wondering if anyone had any "Hard Proof" of Josiah Minter Hillhouse born June 12, 1807 died Nov 29, 1895 is the son of John Hillhouse? John married to Bethia Sharp and lived in Giles County Tenn.

I sent my application to the DAR and it wasn't accepted because I need more proof. Do you know of any proof (the DAR wants primary proof such as birth records, marriage bonds that contain the name of parents, land deeds that clearly state the parent/child relationship, last wills and testaments ro estate settlements) for proving that Josiah was the son of John? Or that John is the oldest child of James and Mary Dickey Hillhouse? I had the information from Bessie Young Hillhouse's book, but it was discounted because of the lack of hard proofs.
I'm so close but need just a couple of more proofs!

I have the data from Josiah Minter Hillhouse up to me, if you would like to have a copy. It's pretty through until I get down to John. My email is cnjacree@pcwan.net or my snail mail address is 221 Virginia Ave. Ponca City, Ok 74601

Thanks
Janet Acree
