I have recently acquired information regarding John Wilson Hillhouse (B. 5-29-1889, Tarbolton) who married a Nellie M. MacArthur (a school teacher) Her parents were Janet Campbell and John MacArthur (a retired schoolmaster). Witnesses to their marriage were Andrew Hillhouse and Elizabeth Kirkland MacArthur. Johns Wilson Hillhouse's parents were William Hillhouse (a Coalminer) and Agnes Wilson. It is said that William Hillhouse was registered in the St. Quivox Parish, Ayr records as William Hillas. At the time of his marriage to Nellie, John resided at 69 Annbank. John and Nellie had a son, John Wilson Hillhouse born January 29, 1914. There is also mention of a Helen Morton MacArthur died 1929 age 53, Monkton & Prestwick.
