William Gillespie Orr was born 1797 in Mecklenburg co. NC. He was the son of Sample Orr. William moved to Greene co. GA when he was 18 after his father died.
William married Jane Harris 1820 in Greene County and had sons with middle names Alexander and Hillhouse.
They moved to East TX in 1849 from Tallapoosa co. AL.
Looking for more information on Sample in NC and possible connections to these other names.
