I found these posts from 2001/02. I'm arriving a bit late. Hope there is still interest.

The Nancy Adda (Ada) Herod (Herrod) who you mention married a Smith was my grandmother. She married Isom Smith, my grandfather, 19 Jan 1921. They lived in Neshoba and Sunflower counties in MS. Isom and Nancy had three children; Marzine (1921), Lorene (1925), and George (1927). Nancy died young in 1929 at the age of 23.

George was my father. Lorene, the last surviving child of Isom and Nancy, passed away in December 2006 in Union MS.

Marshall Herrod, then, was my great-grandfather, and "Fannie Mae" was my great-grandmother.

I would be happy to share what scant information I have. Similarly, I would ask that anyone with information be kind enough to share with me.

Some questions I have: Where is Nancy Ada buried? I assume somewhere in Sunflower county.

I have a photo of Nanch Ada and Isom taken around 1921/22. Does anyone have any photos or stories of "Fannie Mae" and/or Marshall Herrod? Please let me know.

Thank you.
Greg
