I am decendent of Gov Thomas Hinkley. My grt uncle, James Hinkley did much research and thankfully passed it on before he developed Alzhimers. You will find Information about Thomas in a book called Govenors of New Plymouth and MA. Bay Colonies by Jacob Baily Moore Boston CD Strong Cornhill 1851. Many of the family members own this book but I have seen serveral online for sale at I'm sure this book is also owned by MA libraries.
Another family book (with Samuel included) is The History and the Genealogy of the Hingley Family in Nova Scotia. by A.E.Marble,Halifax,Nova Scotia 1966. Though it states Nova Scotia it lineage dates all the way back to England and my own family in the US. I have looked for this book but unfortunately, it had just been sold and I have seen no others available other than libraries.
