James,

While your response to a three-year old message about a member of the Gershom & Catherine (Wightman) family was three years old, my inquiry is now a year later to you. When and where did John4 Hinckley, eldest child of Samuel3 [Ens. John2, Samuel1] and Martha (Lothrop) Hinckley, and husb. of Elizabeth Breed, die and is there probate records for him?

If he died before 1742, I believe the widow Elizabeth (Breed) Hinckley may have married as his 2nd wife William Walsworth of Groton, CT on 23 September 1742. Two children were born of that marriage, Eunice and Charles. I need to either confirm that Elizabeth Breed was Walsworth's 2nd wife or turn my attention back to John4 Hinckley's uncle Jonathan3 [Ens. John2, Samuel1] from Barnstable, who had two wives in Connecticut.
