Gershom & Prudence (Tennant) Hinckley did have
a son Daniel born 1803 (no further info). This
I do not feel is my Daniel born 1812 (RE: 1850
census) or 1823 (RE;1844 marriage record).
I was not able to locate anything on this
Daniel Peck/Hinckley on Rootswebs World Connect.
I believe possibly Daniel W. may have went
back to NY (supposition) and enlisted in the Civil War. I found 1 did indeed enlise and spent
some time as an infantryman in New York Harbor,
and other places in PA.
Another died in Andersonville Prison,yet
another enlisted out of MI and yet a 4th man
enlisted out of IN. Do not believe these were
my man.
