The migration of Hindes from Scotland to Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire
Posted by: Mike Clifford (ID *****8764) Date: April 14, 2010 at 11:08:27

Familiae Minorum Gentium states 'The first of the the Hindes came from Scotland with James I and was a keeper in Nottingham Forrest, living at Dawney Hill in Warsop and afterwards at Bolsover' Christopher Hind is described as 'of Bolsover'

According to this pedigree he married Elizabeth and they had four children baptised Bolsover in the period 1636 to 1642.

Can anybody provide any earlier information about this Christopher Hind or about this reputed migration from Scotland
