continued2-2-02 dr ms king, my computre is hiccuping. a acatherne hindley- james nixon marriage is on record, but we think this was transcription error for james niven, ca 1822-67 as no furher record in igi or 1881 census for james-cath. nixon, and all other data matches james-cath niven, their children were catherine, 1852,james, 1857;edward ,1857;wm. john, 1859, mary ann or ann hindley, ca 1862, elizabeth, 1864, adolphus henry, 1867. james perhaps died of typhus 1867. catherine, wm. john, elizabeth, adolphus show in 1881 census. this is best i can do re hindley family in london. note the dicrepancy in birthplace for elizabeth in 1804. oh, in 1850 m.c. john hindley occ shown as engineer. my e-mail is if you wish correspond directly. roger benson
