HELLO ROBERT: I have checked back on my Hindleys and the following might interest you:- In 1891 Census my G-G-Grandfather John Valentine Hindley, widower - aged 50+, lived in Islington (North london)with his two elder sons and daughter (from first marriage) plus 3 sons from second marriage: Charles (aged 14), George (11) and Harry (3). On 1901 Census John V. Hindley lived with eldest son's wife and family (i.e. my G-Grandparents and Grandfather) at same address plus son Charles (now 30+) and his wife and baby. Two other brothers not at same address, but assume George can be traced on 1901 Census. I know all the Hindleys moved from Islington to Shoreditch a few years after 1901, so it is possible that your father: Charles George b. 1913, was son of George - i.e. my G-Grandfather's half- brother. Hope this infor. is useful (and makes sense). If you have any other problems please let me know. Where do you live? In UK or elsewhere? I live in England, not far from family-base. Best wishes: Janis King. Notify Administrator about this message?
