Hope this info helps someone and provides opportunity for me to find more names, dates, etc. for Lockwood's here described, and possibly other family names associated.
Also, be sure to check out Honley Cemetery info for Yorkshire, just type in name Honley Cemetery, should show Yorkshire genealogy links as well. Lockwoods and others in cemeteries and on Census transcripts. I am having trouble with my dates for Lockwood family, so any help would be appreciated- have William Lockwood of "Dolphin Ho: Huddersfield" (can someone PLEASE explain what "Ho" refers to?) married to a Martha as yet Unknown but could be Martha Woodward, with four children: son George Lockwood; unknown Daughter Lockwood married to Mr. Hindley of Manchester; unknown Daughter # 2 Lockwood married to Mr. North; daughter #3 I believe is Elizabeth Lockwood married to Joseph Thornton of Lockwood, parents of William Lockwood Thornton (Jan. 27, 1811- March 5, 1865, President of the Wesleyan Conference, 1864); daughter Martha Lockwood married to Edward Hawxby of New St. Huddersfield (is this New Street?)"Wool & Cloth Merchant".
Martha and Edward had eight children, I have descendencies through one daughter Elizabeth Hawxby. As I said, something with dates for my Lockwood's doesn't jive with LDS info, although I know LDS often inaccurate. Any info please contact me directly or post here- I will gladly share what info I have on these names and many others.
Thanks from Nora in Alberta, Canada
