Jefferson Davis Sidebottom and Tamer Hindman are my great-grandparents.My grandparents are James Westley Sidebottom and Molly Jane (Hayes) of Barnett, Mo.My aunt Goldie, the oldest of the thirteen children published a book with some of the family history. There is an OK copy of a photo of Jefferson Davis Sidebottom,Tamer and the children. My book contains the following information:
John Hindman, a Baptist preacher and his wife Lara Amey Boggalsa were my (Goldie)great grandparents. My grandmother Tamer Narcissus Hindman was born from this union.John Hindman died in Fort Scott, KS. His wife, Lara remarried a Mr. Wilcox.Lara died in 1880 in Morgan County.Tamer, at the age of twelve, went to live with Mrs. Shelledy. They lived on a farm just across the Gravois Creek east of old Gladstone, Missouri. This farm is now under water, which is part of the Lake of the Ozarks.Grandma Tamer stayed with Mrs. Shelledy until she married Jefferson Davis Sidebottom.
My father has some photos of the markers in the Sidebottom Cemetary.I will ask him about some of the questions you have. Our family does come from the Barnett, MO area.
