Hi All,
This may just confuse the issue, but....
I have a HINTON/JOHNSON connection in Culpeper Co., VA;
Sarah Ellen MILLER (b 1828, Culpeper Co., VA -- ?) m Bushrod HINTON 1849, Rappahannock Co., VA.
My only source (at this time);
Genealogy Trails, "Electronic," RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY MARRIAGES
The daughter of Sarah Ellen MILLER and Bushrod HINSON, Mary Frances, married a Mr. JOHNSON.I have no other information on this line.
Sarah Ellen MILLER d/o James MILLER (1791, Culpeper Co., VA -- abt 1872, Culpeper Co., VA) and Frances Katherine JONES (1793, Amissville, Culpeper Co., VA -- abt 1835, Rappahannock Co., VA).
These lines connect to my husband's GAUNT/CORBIN family in VA.
Also, I recently was given info from Buddy JACKSON (thanks) that my husband's great grandmother may be part of the HINTON/WARD line.
Edith Eady A. HINTON (d/o Needham HINTON and Laney) m John WARD, their daughter Lucy Jane WARD b abt 1857, m John William SMITH.Their daughter, Pearl Rebecca Estelle SMITH (1885, State Line, Greene Co., MS -- 1929, MO) m John Lee GAUNT (1863, Rappahannock Co., VA -- abt 1927, MS).These are my husband's great grandparents.
I don't have defined documentation on this information, so please consider there may be errors.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,
Linda Cashen Gaunt
