I am looking for information about George Hiscox. He was born on February 29, 1868 in Somerset, England. His death certificate says Toronto, Canada, but I know this to be incorrect.) George was the son of John Hiscox and Henrietta Barrett. I do believe that he left England for the United States under some strange circumstances and was never to return or speak with his family again. He came into the U.S. possibly through Canada. His sweetheart joined him in Illinois later and they were married in Madison County Illinois on May 9, 1891. Her name was Eliza Jane Talbot, but everyone called her Jenny. They had one son Elmer Talbot Hiscox born February 18, 1892 in Venice, Illinois. Jenny passed away when Elmer was just a child and George never seemed to get over this great loss. Thus, Elmer never learned much about his family or where they came from. George was my
