Job Hoag m. Rachel Crosby 1853

Iím searching for information about the ancestors of my 2nd great-grandparents, Job and Rachel CROSBY Hoag.

Job HOAG was born 1831 in Montgomery Co., NY, married Rachel CROSBY, and died 1880, probably in Orleans Co., NY. Job is buried in Mt. Albion Cemetery, Orleans Co., Albion, NY.

Rachel CROSBY was born 1829 in Montgomery Co., NY and died 1911, probably in Orleans Co., NY. Rachel is also buried in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

Job and Rachel probably arrived in Orleans Co. sometime after the 1850 census, and they first resided near Gaines, Orleans Co., NY. Four of their earliest children died between 1854 and 1861 and those children were originally buried at Five Corners Cemetery; later they were reinterred at Mt. Albion Cemetery. Sometime before the 1880 census, the Hoag family removed to the area of Carlton, Orleans Co., NY.

Job and Rachel had at least nine children whose names were: Anna M., Henrietta, Mary Louisa, Charles M., William J., Elizabeth, Minnie, Frank B. and Nettie; all these children were born between 1854 and 1875. Nettie (1875-1902) was my 2nd great-grandmother.

Iím interested in obtaining information about the parents of Job HOAG, and the parents of Rachel CROSBY. According to the 1880 census records, Rachelís parents were born in NY.

Of interest, buried at Mount Albion Cemetery are Benjamin G. HOAG (1825-1907), husband of Elizabeth Jane CROSBY Hoag (1825-1914). Benjamin may be related to my Job, and Elizabeth may be related to my Rachel.

Any help connecting my ancestors would be much appreciated.
