Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of Mary A. Hoag, which I would like to get back to family members. Photo was taken in Elgin (Kane Co.) IL in about 1885-1890, and she looks to be about 45 in the photo.
I found Mary A. Hoag in the 1870 census for St. Charles (Kane Co.), as wife of James, age 34. With them were James's parents, Benjamin F. and Elizabeth. By 1880 census St. Charles, IL, James is gone, and she is living in home of Benjamin & Elizabeth as daughter in law. By 1900 census, she is 58, her birthdate is listed, and she is a housekeeper for a druggist in Elgin (Kane Co.). Same location in 1910 & 1920.
If Mary A. Hoag is in your family, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
