William Hoag/Altana Barber

I am trying to trace Hoag ancestry. I am looking for information on William D Hoag abt. 1820 - 1889 and Altana Barber Hoag abt. 1825 - 1887, and their daughter Emma Hoag abt. 1848 - 1937. I believe they moved from NY to IA bet 1855 and 1860. I can't find the roots on the Hoag side. Altana should be the daughter of Joseph Maxson Terry and Esther Barber Terry, and the granddaughter of Mary Kenyon Terry and Elnathan Terry.

It appears that they are the Hoag family that shows up in the 1860 Harrison County Iowa census:
William (M) age 40 born NY
Altorny (F) age 34 born NY
Allata (F) age 12 born NY
Denne (M) age 5 born NY
Mary E (F) age 1/12 born IA

The wife is listed as Allena in the 1880 census.

They appear to be these Hoags buried in Conyers cemetery in Harrison County IA:
William D. Hoag -- died 8/24/1889 -- age 69 y 7 mo (so born approximately 1/24/1820)
Altana Hoag -- died 4/29/1887 -- age 62 y 6 mo 8 d (so born about 2/21/1825)
