The only people I have for this family are those born or buried here in IL. Clues suggest a path thru Trumball co OH, Erie co PA, Onandaga/Courtland NY. Chautauqua is in between Erie PA and Onandaga NY, so could be the same migration route. The only early Hoigs I find were in the 1790 census up around Albany NY. Until I figure out what this name really is, I don't know what to do next.
