Irene: Just rec'd your e-mail. I have no info other than that Thomas (b. about 1779 in Ireland? or England) married Bridget Boylan (b. Ireland) and had 10 children. James, the oldest, (b. 1815/1816 married Bridget Scully and had three children, the oldest John (b. 1845 Tipperary) married Bridget Ryan (b. 1844 Clonoulty, Tipperary). That is my Hobbins connection.
I have lots of names and dates but not much in the line of proof!
Pat Topolski had mentioned your name a whle ago as the Hobbins family historian. I also communicated with a James Hobbins on Ancestry.com and he cannot connect with my Thomas.
My research suggests that Hobbins is an English name, but my Thomas married an Irish girl. What say you?
