Irene: Just rec'd your e-mail. I have no info other than that Thomas (b. about 1779 in Ireland? or England) married Bridget Boylan (b. Ireland) and had 10 children. James, the oldest, (b. 1815/1816 married Bridget Scully and had three children, the oldest John (b. 1845 Tipperary) married Bridget Ryan (b. 1844 Clonoulty, Tipperary). That is my Hobbins connection.
I have lots of names and dates but not much in the line of proof!
Pat Topolski had mentioned your name a whle ago as the Hobbins family historian. I also communicated with a James Hobbins on and he cannot connect with my Thomas.
My research suggests that Hobbins is an English name, but my Thomas married an Irish girl. What say you?
Joyce Dille, Fond du Lac WI.
