HOBBINS FAMILY BEFORE 1700

I wish to thank every member of my extended family for the extremely interesting posting on this forum.

Now I WISH TO CHALLENGE YOU ALL:

As you know my theory is that ALL Hobbins's originate from one source within a 50 mile radius of Warwick England prior to the 18th Century so if you find a record of ANY pre 1700 HOBBINS outside this geographical circle please forward details and dates etc.

I have found references to Hobbins from the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th centuries ALL recorded within the boundaries of Warwickshire England.

Place names so far are: WARWICK, COVENTRY, LEEK WOOTTON, BARSTON, BARFORD, LEAMINGTON SPA, ALCESTER, ROWINGTON, KENILWORTH, Aston Cantlow, SHIPTON-ON-STOUR, LOXLEY, CLIFFORD CHAMBERS, STRATFORD-UPON-AVON, and then in the 19th century BIRMINGHAM.

It seems to me as though the HOBBINS clan spread country and worldwide only after the INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION and the development of mechanised transport.

I await any replies with great interest.

Cyril Hobbins
