Hello Cyril
I have been browsing through the on line Parish Records for Matlock in Derbyshire and came accross an early reference for a member of the Hobbins family and remembered
that you were looking for early entries outside Warwickshire. The listing was for the Christening of John Hobbins on the 26th April 1691.The source is www.wirksworth.org.uk which is a transcript of the records for Matlock and Wirksworth.

Hope this information starts you off on a new line of enquiry and if I can help any more then please let me know.
