Hi Paul,
I talked to my Dad to find out if he knew of your grandfather. As I suspected, our grand- fathers are cousins. His family moved to Wisconsin in 1919 from Alberta. I believe that my great-grandfather came to America from Germany with 2 of his brothers, one of them presumably your great-grandfather, around 1902.

We will be in Spooner later this month & I will see what I can find out from my grand- father. My parents have moved back to Spooner also. My dad thinks he knew your Dad. My Dad's name is Arnold, he's one of the twins. My grandfather was a farmer all of his life & still lives on the farm. My grandmother passed away in 1995.

If you are interested in tracing the family back to Germany one of my uncles & one of my Dad's cousins have done some research & have contacted relatives in Germany. They also live near Spooner.

My e-mail is if you want to contact me directly.
