sorry i think i meant to say that Paul Hoeflich was the grandson... i cant remember...!! Argh! Anyway, the Hoeflich name is dying out in my immediate family. My grandmother and grandfather had five daughters and one son, and since all my aunties and mother have addopted their husbands' surnames, the name can only be passed on by my uncle, and he isn't likely to have children... which is sad. I was contemplating having it suffixed to my surname which certainly could do with some exoticification -if such a word exists- but would prefer to know that of the same Hoeflich ancestry as my granfathers, relations exist still carrying the name...
