Hi all
My name is Vinetta & I'm not too sure if I'm in the right clan, but I come from the branch of Hoeflichs from Matautu. My grandmother was married to Max (I think) & they had 2 girls. My mother, Karen Maxine, & her older sister Theresa Ella. To cut the story short, they divorced & my grandmother remarried. Both my mom & aunt went on & had 2 daughters of their own respectively, & my brother. None of us were given any family names to link us to our Hoeflich patriarch. Something must've happened coz neither my mom or aunt talk about their biological father. What little I do remember is my great-grandmother, Suzie. I barely remember my great-grandfather as he passed away when I was about 5ish. Papa also had a stroke & wasn't able to talk, other than always waving his walking stick at us kids. Mama died at the ripe old age of 91. The only photo I have of my great-grandparents is me being about 5, my sister was about 3 & my cousin was less than a year. If any of this rings a bell I'd be very happy to hear from any of you. From our branch alone we don't have any existing members residing in Samoa, other than us. They all moved to NZ or the US. Only other thing I know is although my mom & aunt never spoke about their biological father, they still kept in touch with his brothers, Ikila & Bubsy (I think, I don't remember his christened name) & his sisters, Ella, Tootie (I don't remember her christened name either) & Anna. I'm not sure if I missed anyone but that's all I remember. Only cousins I'm familiar with are Aunty Ella's kids & grandkids, & Aunty Tootie's daughter - Uncle Ikila's kids but they moved to the US when we were still young. I'm not sure if I've met Aunty Anna's or Uncle Bubsy's kids?
Hope to hear from all of you
