This is a long shot but here I go. I traced my grandfather Joseph Henry Fredericks's wife's history back and found her maiden name is Hoehl. Her father is August Hoehl and he was married to Ida or Ada. They lived in Haledon, New Jersey in 1910 then Union, New Jersey in 1900's. August was born in Germany in around 1865. I also found that an August Hoehn, appoximatly the right age, immigrated to USA 12 April, 1872 with his father August Hoehn. He came in on the ship Reichstag which departed from Hamberg, Germany. Does anyone know if these two August Hoehl(n) are the same? Please help me solve the Hoehl vs Hoehn puzzle.

Hope to hear from someone.

Joe Fredericks
