As for traditional genealogy, I would argue that if all you have are census records, baptismal records and wills—then you really “know” nothing about your biological ancestry. If your genealogical interest is "my family history," then it seems to me that you are not reconfirming anything.
You should be using DNA testing and taking the scientific steps to prove what you think is the case. Stop the speculating, guessing and get beyond the results of circumstantial evidence and coincidence only.
