It is certainly possible that there is some connection. Martin arrived at NY in 1851, however he appears not to have stayed east for any length of time. He was married to Leah Foreman, a native of Dark Co., OH on Aug 16, 1854. Martin was born in 1830 or 31 so he could be an older brother. In some of the records I have it mentions that he came from the Wurttemburg area of Germany, Do you know if Conrad had any brothers named Martin, or if that name ran in the family?
