My Pennsylvania-Dutch mother, married to
Richard Hofacker Sr., occasionally referred
to other relatives as "frauenheim," as if
the term was the equivalent of "family."
But in German, no such meaning is attributed
to the term. Are you using the word as
"family," or are you referring to an organ-
ization or facility? Is the lady you refer
to a member of the Ohio branch or the
Connecticut branch or the Pennsylvania branch?
