Is there any 2nd or 3rd cousin Hogan's? They would have almost the same YDNA then you could see which group of people tested is yours. Josiah Briant, left Charity, VA in 1790's near the current Franklin County, Henry County, Patrick County border. However his son married a Turman that was from Floyd County before that Bedford County. The dna is so close between some West's, Bryan's, Bryant's, and Hogan's that it take a lot of markers, Y67 or Y76, to tell who is who. I will e-mail you my dna data off list.
