I am a descendant of William Elijah "Storm Daddy" Hogan. According to typed and hand-written notes, he and three brothers--John ( Ben), Christopher (Stephen), and William came to the U.S in the early 19th century. Willliam Elijah went to Alabama and married Nancy Deal and I am a descendant of his son, John C. Hogan, who married Elizabeth Edwards. Their son, William Riley (born Jan 5, 1847 and died in 1928) was my great grandfather. He married Elizabeth Margret Barker and their, John William (born Oct 16, 1870 and died June 29 1944) was my grandfather. According to the notes I have, The four brothers--William Elijah, John (Ben), Christopher (Stephen) and William--left Ireland and landed in South Carolina in the early 19th century. However, my on-line research indicates they were born in Georgia, children of John Hogan and Sarah Culpepper. I have not been able to corroborate either of these versions. Does anyone have data to support either of these two versions of my ancestors? Notify Administrator about this message?
