Thank you for your reply. We believe that a James Hooper was the
Father of our Obadiah Hooper b. abt 1720-27 in Hanover, VA.

1722 - Patent - Chowan - John Worley (Worsley) - 476 acres in Chowan Precinct on the south side of Albemarle Sound, joining Thomas Steely, Middle Neck Swamp, Beech Neck Swamp, the long Branch, James Hooper, Haw Branch and the said sound.

At a Vestry held 16 Apr 1723. "In obedience to an order of
Ct. date 1 Feb 1723, appointing John Tinsley to be Surveyor
of a Road to be cleared from Crumps Creek, by Richard
Corley to the road by Edward Chambers Senior, James Hooper,
Col. Birds Middle Quarter, with all their male tithables to
assist him, to clear & maintain the said road.
Do you have any information on the whereabouts of James Hooper and Elizabeth Hogan before or after their marriage in 1718?
