I am just getting started in tracing my Hogan roots. I have heard that there was a book published about the Hogan, but I don't know anything about it.
My Hogan's are from Alabama. I don't know much, but I would appreciate any help available.
1. G.G.Grandfather was John Hogan born 1844 in Alabama and died in Alabama in 1933.
2. He married Sidney Speigner October 4, 1865 in Speigner, Alabama. They had several children.
3. Their son was my G.Grandfather and his name was Daniel Hogan. He was born March 23, 1873 in Speigner, Alabama.
4. He married Pearl Haygood Norris March 1900 in Alabama.
5. Their daughter was my grandmother, Mary [Henrietta or Etta] Hogan born Oct 17, 1902 and died Sept 11, 1982.
6. Mary Etta married Frank Oliver Higgins March 2, 1921 in Jefferson County, Alabama.
I would appreciate any help that you can give me to get started.
