Kenworthy Hoge was born in 1829, in VA, to William (son of Solomon Hoge and Mary E. Nichols) and Mary (McGeath) Hoge.
Kenworthy was born in VA, but he moved to Ohio when he was grown. He married, first, Emily Pettit, in Ohio. They had J. Clayton Hoge. Emily died of typhoid fever when she was in her late twenties. J. Clayton Hoge married, first, Sabina Mansfield. They had my great grandfather, Dr. Kenworthy Mansfield Hoge Sr.He married Carrie Burkle. They had my grandfather, Dr. Kenworthy Mansfield Hoge Jr.He married, first, Elizabeth Ann Jackson, daughter of Harry Warner and Eunice (Seibert)Jackson, from Michigan.
At first, I was unsure if Kenworthy b. 1829 was an actual child of William and Mary McGeath Hoge, because it seemed as if Mary would have been too old to be his mother. However, after relentless searching, I have decided that he was their child based on the following:

Also, Mary is shown in the 1850 Census living with another son, James, and his wife, Philo. after the death of her husband. According to the age given for her in the census, she was born in 1785, which would have made her about 44-years-old when Kenworthy was born.
