According to your information Pieter Hogeboom is my husbands 7th great grandfather. His family line goes down as the following: From Pieter it goes to Bartholemew being my husbands 6th great grandfather, then to his son Dirk being the 5th great grandfather, then Dirks son Bartholomues being the 4th great grandfather, then Bartholomues son James as his 3rd great grandfather( with James we have a name changed to records stating Hogaboom and Hojaboom), then to his son Cornelius Hogaboom (Hojaboom)being his 2nd great grandfather, then to James Monroe Hogaboom (Hojaboom) being his great grandfather, then to Seth Cornelius Hojaboom being his grandfather. I have information on the name being spelled soooo many different ways! Our family from pretty much Cornelius on ended up in VT, and many are buried in Highgate, VT. I'm from VT, so that's were I've been able to confirm some of my research myself. I just held a Hojaboom/Hogaboom family reunion in August, so I've been gathering as much information as I possibly could. Do you have any information on these relatives? I've been trying to find someone from New York to locate a birth certificate for Cornelius born in Greenbush, Ny in 1799. I located his death record in Swanton, VT, and I'd really like to get his birth record.
