My grandmother was a Hohmann (Katharina). She came to the US around 1910 from Heubach, Hessen, Germany. She was the youngest of several siblings who also came to America around this time. They landed in Baltimore, Maryland and many later moved to Washington, DC and the surrounding suburbs in Maryland.
Her parents were Johann Hohmann and Anna Muller (with umlaut over the u). Do your Hohmanns come from Heubach near Fulda?
