Hello! My grandfather, Conrad Jurgen Hohmann, came to America just before World War II at the age of 11. He was the son of a civil engineer, Wilhelm Hohmann (wife: Magdelina Hohmann). They came through Ellis Island and stayed in New York state before moving to Iowa to live with family for a short period of time before finally residing in Detroit, Michigan. Email me if you have any questions or think you might be related!
