A little more info:
My GGgrandfather Ferdinand Hohmann was born in 1881 and came over on the Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1898 to meet his uncle L. Hohmann in "Allegheny". According to my grandfather Ferdinand had brothers "Val" and "Gerhart" in Pittsburgh at some point, I searched based on that and found a Valentine Hohmann and Gotthard Hohmann in the SSDI that lived in Pittsburgh and appear the right ages to be Ferdinand's brothers, I have no way of confirming though. I believe the Hohmann's worked a farm on Pittsburgh's North Side around 1900, that area would have been called Allegheny City. I got Ferdinand's death cert. which says his parents were Nicholas Hohmann and Kunigunta Miller. Hope this helps.
