Frederick Emil Hohmann in Ireland 1870s

Can anyone help find out any more for me about my great, great grandfather Frederick Emil Hohmann, who was an engineer of German or Austrian origin, who settled in Ireland in the 1870s after marrying an Irish girl. He was possibly working on the Curragh racecourse. He had a daughter Grace Miriam Hohmann born 1879 (she moved to Hastings and married Walter Dancer), and may have had a couple of other children - ? Ellen K Hohmann born 1874 (moved to Manchester) and possibly ? Charles Hohmann born ? (lived in Co Down).
Frederick died before Grace's marriage in 1905, and his wife apparently remarried. Family folklore places the family in Wicklow, though this may not be true. I have looked up on the Irish Family HIstory database but records for Wicklow are not yet online.
If I can find who Frederick's wife was (and where in Ireland they were married) then I will have found a full set of great, great-grandparents for my family tree.
Thanks for any help,
