Herman Lee Holland, 82, of Logwood Lane, Greeneville, died
Monday, August 30, 2010, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital,
Greene Co TN.
Mr. Holland was a farmer. He was a member of Truth Free
Will Baptist Church.
Born June 28, 1928, he was a son of the late Homer and
Mattie Holland, and was preceded in death by three sisters,
Denzil Roberts, Debbie Bowser, and Amy Wattenbarger; and
four brothers, Bob Holland, Richard Good, Lacy Kay Holland,
and James Holland.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Frances Holland;
three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Steve Ferguson,
of Chuckey, TN, Mary Sue and Harold Smith of Greeneville,
TN, and Janice and the Rev. Walter Moore Jr. of Greeneville,
TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Nancy Louise
Holland, of Greeneville; his grandchildren and their
spouses, Vicky and David Gudger, Herman Ferguson, Rosa and
Willie Hensley, Michelle McCamey, Melissa Smith, Frankie
Ray Moore, and Scotty and Kelley Moore; his great-grand-
children, Montana Ball, Dakota Ball, Austin Smith, Dale
McCamey, and Cody Lane Moore; two brothers, Bud and Phyllis
Holland and Homer Holland, both of Jonesborough, TN;
several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kenneth
Brown, Jackie Kirkpatrick, Edris Neal, and Danny Weems.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.,
Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral
Home.
The funeral service will be held September 3, 2010, at
1 p.m., Friday afternoon, at Truth Free Will Baptist
Church. The Rev. Walter Moore Jr. and the Rev. Lynn Mercer
will officiate.
Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery. Pallbearers
will be Frankie Moore, Scotty Moore, David Gudger, Willie
Hensley, Herman Ferguson, and Danny Weems. Honorary
pallbearers will be David Weems, Chad Malone, the fourth
floor nurses and staff at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, and
the staff of Laughlin Home Health Care.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to
help defray funeral expenses.
