Regarding 60 acres, the Holleman Family owned several hundred acres in the White Oak District between Apex and New Hill, NC. John and Davis (his son) were primary land owners during the early 1800's, with a portion of these lands passing to Samuel Bartley Holleman, then to extended relatives.

John's younger brother, Jordan, whose father was John Sr, also had extensive land holdings, shared with his son Wiley. Wiley was known to have 250+ acres between the present Highway # 64 and Old US # 1 adjoining present day Apex. The majority of This land has become commercial property, with only 50 acres or so remaining with the extended Holleman Family.
