I had them mixed up myself so how can I expect perfection from others. My grandmother had left a note on Jacob who married an Irish girl named Stone and Nancy Leake. This is definitely not the Jacob who married Flora McKinney.

I have determined, can't prove by documentation, that my sisters to a Rev. Jacob Hollifield of NC, were not the children of William born in 1745, but more likely his sisters. There is an age difference, but William's mother may have been different than the one of my 3 sisters and Rev. Jacob.

Best source I have seen is Susie Holderfield's material. Used to be on-line.
Next is Wm Hollifield, III, of MD. He at least interviewed relatives of the people, and quoted the sources of these comments.
