Delbridge,

I'm JUST starting to look into Johnston County, NC in hopes of finding the parents of my GGGF, Alfred Lemuel Bailey b. 10-10-1830 d. 5-17-1912 m. Mary Ann Ryals ca 1855. Buried Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Benson, Johnston, NC.

Anyway, this 1850 Johnston County census record has a Lucinda Holleman, although born ca. 1840.

"1850: Johnston County, District 11 Dilcy Holleman 39f $300 Noted as unable to read/write, but also as having attended school in the last year, $300, Lucinda 10f, Manly 9m; Alfred L. Bailey 19m farmer who also attended school within the last year."

After a quick look at marriages in Johnston County, it seems the Bailey/Holliman/Narron families were quiet close.

Good luck.

Stewart
