Just came across your message and wondered if it might be a link to my Holliman family. I have an Elizabeth Holiman in the Darlington SC 1880 census as follows:
Elizabeth J. Holoman (sp) age 53 or 58, widowed
Elizabeth dau age 28, widowed
William son age 21
Louann J (??) dau age 17
Jesse son age 15
Emma dau age 14
Florence Young gd dau age 4

The daughter Elizabeth, was married to a fnu Young and widowed at an early age.

This Elizabeth is my g-grandmother. She married Samuel Asbury Windham in Darlington SC.

Any connection here? I have a picture of this Elizabeth and she appears to be an indian woman and my family has told me that she was of cherokee heritage.
