Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, January 22, l925 A.V. HOLLINGER, living southwest of Notus, passed away Jan. 3rd at the (*can't read - large tear in paper) the west for 22 years. To his marriage to MISS MELISSA SNYDER were born three daughters and one son: MRS. SAM GASSETT, of Leon, Iowa; MRS. CLARENCE KONKLIN, Rhea Heights, South Dakota; MRS. GEO. TIPP, of Lyons, Kansas; ELMER HOLLINGER (who died in l892.) His second marriage to MISS IOWA CERMALIA NIECE in l877, was blessed with six children, SMITH L., and FRED H., of Kelso, Wash.; HOMER and HELEN, of Notus and MRS. GEO. WORKMAN, of Astoria, Oregon. Little MARY HOLLINGER died in infancy. MR. HOLLINGER farmed and ran a threshing machine for many years in Iowa before coming west. He was a kind and liberal hearted man and held in the highest esteem by all who knew him.
