m.1stly Ellinor Robinson in St. Andrew's, Dublin, 14/05/1725
and they had 13 children.

........died 4/06/1755 aged 48 years.
m.2ndly Sarah Jellett 30/10/1756 and they had no children.
........Sarah Jellett b. 11/09/1724 (dau of Mathew Jellett) ........died 1805 aged 80 years.

HUGH HOLMES, late of Antigua, merchant, now of Dublin.
Will dated 8 May 1759.
To be buried at Belfast with my father & mother.
To my son, John Holmes 1,000 pounds.
The lease of my house at Drumcondra Lane to Hugh Holmes,
son to my bro. Robert Holmes, also my mother's wedding ring & signet ring.
To my bro. Robert Holmes & his 2 sons, Jame & Hugh Holmes,
their bond for 434 pounds, dated 28 June 1758.
My 2 houses at St. John's, Antigua,
& a legacy that was left my wife on Hawksbill estate in Five Islands to my godson Thomas Hanson, son to my bro-in-law Thomas Hanson of Antigua.
To my goddau. Rebecca Hanson, dau. of my bro-in-law James Hanson, cooper, of St. John's, 5 pounds.
To my cousin Tennatt Tims, now my housekeeper, 50 pounds.
To John Hamilton, Merchant in Dublin, 50 pounds.
To the poor of Belfast 100 pounds.
To my late bro. James Holmes' son Thomas ..... Holmes & to his sister, now Pallasier, 1 sh. each.
To my bro. John Holmes & to his sons John & James &
to his dau. Mary Holmes 1 sh. each.
All residue to my bro. Robert Holmes's 5 children,
Samuel, James, Hugh, Elinor & Robinson Holmes at 21.
My bro. Robert Holmes of Dublin, GOLDSMITH,
& cousin Thomas Allen & Sam. Smith, both of London, Exec's.
Witnessed by Joseph Malone, James Innes, Thomas Wallace.
